Nothing more sweet than presenting a gift with a personal hand painted tag, very Emily Post
ish! Watercolor paints with a dash of salt make very believable mini snowflake images, a bit like frost on a windowpane. Unless, of course you've used green or orange! Any colors were perfect on these baseball card size tags, each very unique. Some students were very proud of personalized names on their cards, including my very favorite:
Mama. Parents, hope a few were left over for the packages under your tree!
Practical Skill: Watercolor painting, pallette cleaning, salting drying painted areas for a crystal effect, stamps and ink use.
Conceptual Skill: Painting in small areas, making a legible item for direct practical use, creating a collection of same size pieces with great variety.
